Kiddings aside -- I've become somewhat intrigued by snowboarding... The main reason why I kept on resisting is more than likely I would love it and I hate to invest another 500-600 bucks into this... lol Plus I need to buy a different set of gloves, etc...

customer bases. Watched an TV program about Alta a little while ago and they
talked about the skier only policy. The guy from Alta said it is a pure
business decision, because most of their customers don't want riders on
their mountains. Therefore, Alta believe they will make more money by doing
so.

are anything but that kind.
Most of them have been skiing for a long long time, they are old-timers who

I am not sure if ski only makes better snow but it makes sense to me in two

1. beginning riders tend to heel side down when the slope gets a little bit
steep, which could make the snow more packed.

on coming back to Alta.
And Deer Valley is a prime example of a decent resort going bad. I don't
know if anyone remembers or ever been to Deer Valley 12 yrs ago - before
their so-called "big renovation". It was a nice quint little place, good
ski, good atmosphere, and inexpensive. Now they market it like some sort of
high-end Park City. I probably will never go back again. Not that they

to me, I like Alta too, since only skier allowed,
from the safety side, skier have more comparable pattern and has less chance
to collide to each other if they have similar speed (surely, I am not
saying,skier would not bump into each other). same for riders for sure if
there is a rider only resort.
I have no problem with riders. (at least at my limited skill level, I can
not tell the snow difference caused by rider). I respect some of them with
