years, but from the 4th year, it had started to have all sorts of issues
and I had made no less than 8 trips to the dealership from April - October.
Had the car not still under warranty, the repair could had cost me thousands
. i am a careful driver and always do the scheduled maintenance and only
used premium gas... and the car had less than 35K miles...
ironically, the 3 series is the most reliable car in the bmw line of
offerings.
in my office, it seems like bmw owners always complain about their cars and
most of them are first time bmw buyers like me and they almost always buy
something else when time comes for a new car. lexus and acura owners never
complain much...
you are right.. an X3 is about the same as a MDX when price is concerned...
but after my wagon, I decided to stay way from german brands until they
become better in quality..
so.. 3 weeks before the warranty was to expire on my wagon, I traded it in
for an acura.. I was deciding between a Lexus or an Acura. The Acura won
because it handles better than lexus. For someone who goes to Flushing all
the time, the mdx is also much easier to park in tight spots. for the value,
the mdx is hard to beat.
btw, I would never consider a bmw suv anyway. I am kinda a purist in a lot
of ways. If I ever in the market for a german car again, I would still buy a
sedan... SUV is such an american thing, its not worthwhile to get an
overpriced german one while you can buy either Japanese or American with
equal performance and a lot more relibility.

Don't think so. X3 is definitely more fun to drive, and it felt faster too
, even though it might not have the most HP (in 328 trim). For drivers don'
t care/need much of road response, MDX is the better choice than X3.
Reliability favours MDX/RX350 etc for sure. The current generation X3 is too
new to judge it for reliability wise. I hope it will do better than X5.

most chinese in china didn't buy japanese cars because until recrently only
VW and GM were making cars in China. At one time VW had almost 60% of
chinese passenger car market. Japanese cars were all imports with very high
price tags due to import tariffs. So the price/value of Japanese cars in
China were really low...
when i was a kid in Shangahi no private citizens owned cars. But at the time
, ppl had started to buy color TVs and stereo sets. Most ppl would buy SONY,
HITACHI, Matsushita, Toshiba, Sanyo over any Chinese or european brands. I
didn't know any family picked a ChangHong over SONY because SONY was a
Japanese brand, not because of the price.
most chinese in the US also buy japanese cars more than german ones...
at the end of the day, it is the quality and price drive most purchase
decisions.
sure, there are folks like DC uncle, but they are few and far in between...

one thing for sure is that anyone who has a 911 must also have other cars.. so
even if the car sits at the dealer service center all the time, it would not
matter much... its rich folk's toy car.. not really a meaning of
transportation.

有点后悔没有加LED头灯，对我这个有灯情节的来说，有点美中不足。
cold weather package很有用，我的“驾驶乐趣”大多是从冬天早上手抓heated wheel
中来的。。。
耗油目前还行，highway 27 local 20。

they handle like cars and have bigger cargo spaces...

bmw subsidize almost 10% on 3 series lease.. 2 cars with the same MSRP from
BMW and Audi, the bmw one would be much cheaper to lease...
