发帖数: 2300 | 1 I returned home to a very panicked 11 yo son. About 5:30 p.m. a man entered
our home via our sliding glass door in the backyard. My son described him as
possibly Hispanic or having “a very good tan”, light brown-blondish hair
that is closely cropped or possibly in cornrows, approximately 5’7- 5’9,
medium build, wearing black sweatpants and a plain black short sleeved t-
shirt. The man was carrying a crowbar. Apparently he didn’t realize anyone
was home until he reached my son’s bedroom door. My son was playing video
games and looked up to see the man standing there. The man said “hey”, my
son responded “hey” and then started to move off his bed to run, which
caused the man to turn around and run. We believe he exited the way he came
in. We can’t figure out how he came in as I am freakish about keeping all
doors locked and there doesn’t appear to be damage to any doors.
A K-9 unit searched the area but could not find the perp. Please be on alert
for this individual, as the description of a man found in another resident
’s backyard on SE 60th St. a few days before sounds very similar. Det.
McDade told me the perp was probably a heroin or meth tweaker looking for $$
, jewelry and small electronics he could lift quickly. He must have been
desperate to choose that time of day to break in, knowing people might be
coming home from work about then. Det. McDade also asked community members
to report ANYTHING or ANYONE they view as suspicious or out of the ordinary
to BPD immediately. | a********e
