Menlo Park with Adsymptotic. I'm working with the founders from Google/
Admob/Yahoo and backed by Sequoia/KP; well funded, and growing. I've helped
them staff a number of roles and looking for a hadoop expert to join the

I'm also working with the VPE of Mashlogic in Palo Alto and they're looking
for an Java/BigData engineer. They're growing, backed by NEA and Bessemer
Ventures, the CEO is Val Agostino who served as Mint's Director of PM (
acquired by Intuit), the VPE is Hamilton Hitchings who was an early engineer
at Openwave who was key in helping them with over 1 billion handsets

What you need for this position:
- BSCS (MSCS preferred) from top school & strong aptitude toward problem
solving and working with large data sets
- Strong back-end, server side development experience & excellent skills in
Unix based platforms, programming, development and architecture
- Java programming skills
- Strong algorithm & data structure knowledge
- Hadoop, Hive, Lucene, Nutch, MapReduce or other related big data
technology experience or aptitude
- Scripting experience, PHP/Ruby preferred
- Outstanding communication skills is a must
- Back-end software development for web applications (back-end & middle tier
) expertise with either Java, Ruby, PHP, etc.
- Experience working with big data sets or coming out of a highly scalable,
distributed environment
- Prior experience working on Open-Source products
- Strong experience with scalable, highly distributed , high performance,
large-scale internet systems is a big plus
- It would be a bonus if you had online advertising or ad network experience
