Manhattan is looking for a QA with strong scripting/coding skills to help
develop/maintain autmation frameworks and execution of the QA process in a
complex high frequency algorithmic trading environment.
Rate: $50-$65 per hour
Type: C2C
Location: NYC
Length: 6 Months+
Responsibilities include:
- Extend an existing automation platform written in C++ for system testing a
framework used by strategies.
- Support and extend a back testing environment used by the trading desk in
C++.
- Perform manual system testing of the HFA trading components of which most
are headless components that will require testing by verifying proper
message flow
- Creation of system and regression test plans
- Help manage the test environment and ensure its stability
Job Requirements:
Essential Technical Skills:
- Expertise in test methodoligies and server side auto test.
- Expertise in at least one of scripting languages (perl, python, bash).
- Expertise in at least one of stream editor (sed, awk or sililar).
- Experience in coding C++.
- Experience in a Linux development environment.
Preferable Technical Skills:
- Knowledgeable in SQL
- Knowledgeable in FIX protocol
- Experience with LBM or other messaging middleware
Education / Qualifications Req:
B.S. in computer science or similar technical field
Background/ Work Experience Required:
- 3+ years auto test experience. 2+ years development experience is a plus.
- Experience in algorithmic trading applications is a plus
Require Competencies:
- Knowledgeable in Electronic Trading
- Good communication skills, organizational skills, detailed orientated
