现收到法庭的criminal citation,有两个选项，court appearance和 bail forfeiture
109$.照罚单背面的说法，如果交钱就不用上庭：
If a dollar amount appears in the box marked by BAIL, you do not have to appear in court. Instead, send a check to the court. This will close your case.
但这是不是不等于认了罪misdemeanor？罚款我愿意交，但不希望留misdemeanor案底。请问这种情况应该怎么处理？万分感谢！！ | F******a

交钱就不用上庭, 但这是等于认了罪, 会留案底。
建议你首先要确定自己犯的是什么级别的罪: 是infraction, 还是misdemeanor? 罚单上应该
写具体你犯了哪(几)条罪, 及其编号。上网查一下编号就知道了。
如果是infraction, 不打紧, 交了罚款由它去吧。
如果是misdemeanor而你又不想留案底的话, 除了请个律师帮你上庭打官司, 我不知道其
它更好的办法。即便有律师, 如果人赃俱获的话, 估计很难完全洗脱掉。在这种情况下, 你的
goal应该是把misdemeanor搞成infraction。

If you don't go to the court, you lost your bail. But police will not issue
a warrant to catch you.
