Honestly, this paper's idea is just OK and is not very helpful in real-life
applications. It is more like the academia-publication-oriented paper. There
are some nice papers combining linear regression and k-means clustering
ideas, if you're only looking for a nice and general piecewise linear
regression algorithm.
