Propositions
Prop 41: Yes.
Reason: we need to support our veterans.
Prop 42: Yes.
Reason: transparency law for local government
Statewide seats:
Governor: Neel Kashkari(R).
Reason: California needs a governor who understand economy and Mr. Kashkari
is the most qualified.
Lieutenant Governor: George Yang(R).
Reason: Yang is our guy!
Secretary of State: Pete Peteson(R).
Reason: voter system need a major reform and we need to have a Republican in
that office.
Controller: Ashley Swearengin (R).
Reason: We need fiscal conservative at our finance department. as Mayor of
Fresno, she has first hand experience to deal with city services with a shoe
-string budget and apparently our state is in the same situation.
Treasurer: John Chiang (D).
Reason: I would like to pick a fiscal conservative, but the rank is really
thin and Mr. Chiang is the most qualified as ex-Controller.
Attorney General: John Haggerty(R)
Reason: No one can challenge Kamala Harris this time. Just pick a local guy
from Santa Clara.
Insurance Commissioner: Dave Jones (D)
Reason: Mr. Jones did a fine job as current commissioner. And there is no
qualified competitor
Superintendent of Public Instruction: Marshall Tuck (run as nonpartisan, but
a Democrat)
Reason: If you don't like the current California public school system, you
don't vote for Torlakson. as founding CEO of the Partnership for Los Angeles
Schools,, Mr. Tuck has first hand experience to work with low performance
inner city schools
BOE District 1: George Runner (R)
Reason: incumbent
BOE District 2: Fiona Ma (D)
Reason: Better qualification than her competitor
BOE District 3: non contested election
Reason: only one name on the ballot
BOE District 4: Diane L. Harkey (R)
Reason: Assemblywoman Harkey has best qualification in the group. |
