电话来催过两次，一开始说不打折，后来又说可以打6.5到7折，但必须月底付清，又威
胁不付就怎样怎样。问题是就算打了折账单还是很高朋友也负担不起。想问问怎么跟他
们打交道可以有更多折扣？她是游客身份没有SSN，如果不付走人的话，下次过来或是
以后可能转身份会不会有麻烦？能少一点的话还是想付了不想惹麻烦。多谢！ |

如果最后谈不拢，讨债公司有可能把欠债的人告上法庭，要求赔偿全部金额，外加利息
，律师费用等。

visitor告上法庭。告上法庭，对于一个visotor，有什么后果，也难讲。
帐不会转回到医院那里的。医院已经把这笔债贱卖给collection agency了。

if u go back and check ur 485 or 797 papers, it asks u if u have been
convicted or charged or arrested, does it ever ask u whether u have been in
a law suit? think about this: there are tenant-landlord arguments on this
bbs everyday, many go to court, should they worry about their GC?

发帖数: 3876 | 14 Sue的话要summon，人不在美国没法summon。我记得中国没有签署海牙公约“Service
Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial
Matters”里面的相关条例。所以回国以后就不怕了。
加州关于坏账的Statue of Limitation只有四年。所以四年之后就什么都不用怕了。

original creditor’s authorization. If the original creditor insists that
the agency collect 100% of the debt, the agency cannot accept less from you

less than 70%. They also mentioned vagulely that if she can't pay this time
, maybe she can pay next time when she visits the U.S. again. Not sure what
they suggested though.

如果他们不能作进一步让步,可能只能先不管它了.
