It is extremely painful to see those misunderstandings happen.
Unfortunately, many Chinese friends often don't have the common sense to
tell if some is joking or talking seriously.
In this case, you are deadly wrong if you think he is really concerned about
his job. All he is trying to do is to make some laughable situation where
he and you would be on different side and see how you react. A good answer,
could be something like "you could take JK's position'. |
