[Action]
I read the news that rallies are being planned on this coming Saturday (11/9
) on various locations in United States. Not sure if you know this or not,
there will be one such rally in San Francisco:
Time: Nov 9 (Saturday), 12pm - 2pm
Location: Justin Herman Plaza, San Francisco, CA
Demonstration route: along Market St, walking to Union Square
Please go and join, best with your kids if possible (such that kids learn
their rights).
I heard that there would be bus provided for commuting, see below link. (I'
ll happy to translate for you if needed):

[Background]
If you haven't heard of Jimmy Kimmel/ABC "Kid's Table" show and the
conversation of "kill/interesting idea/should we allow Chinese to live",
please take a moment to look at this page, especially the video there:
https://sites.google.com/site/boycottjimmykimmelandabc/
Different people may have different understandings on the matter, especially
some reasoning to dismiss the protest:
1) It was just a late-night comedy show, kids knows nothing, etc.
2) Oh, nothing to do with me, I am American, or my kids are Americans.
3) It may related to me. But why bother action?
I just want to provide a few reasons from my understanding:
1) It's the adults who were behind it, not just the kids.
Yes, the kid said "... kill everyone ...". But, please be aware that the
show was pre-recorded and later broadcasted on ABC. Adults were in and
behind it.
ABC and/or Jimmy Kimmel should be hold responsible for it.
2) It's about violence.
Should violence and kill become "interesting" and become the solution to
problems? Absolutely No.
Lots of killings and shootings happen in US already. Thoughts today may
become action tomorrow if being encouraged.
3) It's about racism SUBCONSCIOUS.
** I agree it's extremely unlikely to really 'kill everyone'. So you won't
be killed, but it's the racism subconscious that can cause you harm and
bring disadvantage to you on your everyday life.
** It's already happening everyday and everywhere.
** This time they picked up on Chinese. But it's not only for Chinese, if
encouraged, they'll pick other minority groups later.
** If you don't spend time doing something to fight now, you'll be spending
more and more time in the future to deal with all the consequences of the
SUBCONSCIOUS.
4) It's for a fairer environment for the future generation.
I know a lot of my friends are working really hard on their kids, hoping
their kids to have a better future.
The protest will help towards a future fairer environment.
So please stop for a minute and think about how much it will worth for your
future generation to have a fairer environment?
5) Head counts matter in democracy.
Each and every person counts here.
So everybody please go and join, for your and your future generation's
American Dream.
Thanks for reading the email. And please act!
