标 题: 加州罚单，上庭还能去traffic school么？

前几天吃了第一张罚单，非法U turn，要222刀，选择上traffic school要261刀。有个
朋友说之前的做法是，先去上庭，希望能减掉一些罚款，之后再去上traffic school。
但是我的罚单上面写着“Referral to Traffic school after Trial is at the
discretion of the Judicial Officer”，想问问有多大可能性能减掉一些罚款，同时
又能去traffic school减掉记录呢？

You can go online traffic school to waive $100 on court. |

发帖数: 5730 | 9 After you go to traffic school, your case is dismissed. No need to go to
court.
If you go to court, the judge will first ask you to plead either
1. guilty. you get reduced fine (bail) and can go to traffic school
2. not guilty and go through trial
Judge prefers (1)
If you choose (2) and lose your case (very likely), then, usually you will
pay full amount of fine without a chance for traffic school.

I know that if I go traffic school firstly, I do not need to go to the court
. But then I need to pay $260.
I want to go to the court to plead guilty to reduce fine. I am wandering

yes, go to court and declare that you want to go to traffic school.
you will get it and you get reduced fine.
the only thing you lose is time. |
