eastgate了，希望有人接手，我可以把传单和签名纸送去，陪在旁边，但是没法多说话。
从上周四到昨天周六，一共在如下几处搜集了签名
1。doyle 小学（和dobutamine一起）
2。娃的幼儿园
3。娃的音乐课
4。eastgate幼儿园
5。娃的ucsd游泳课
6。过桥园
夹子在卧室暂时没法查看，记得有三四页，每页是15个签名，数目不多，但是总归是有
人被我发了传单，了解了事情，志同道合的一起鼓了鼓劲儿。
1。doyle小学是dobutamine喊上我一起去的，她找到了中国家长聚集地，大家把整个
park里的中国家长都找遍了来签名，不过人数不算多。试着接触了一些貌似亚裔，日本
妈妈比较排斥退缩，有两个妈妈听我介绍后拿了传单回去看，一个亚裔爸爸坚决不相信
这个是真的，苍天啊，不过他耐心听我说了一通，也拿了传单回去。
感想：人流多，流速快的地方，针对华人最有效果，其他的可以散发传单，没空多说。
2。娃的幼儿园只把传单塞给了下班的越南裔老师，他听了简单介绍后也很反对，拿走
了传单，后面就不知道了。别的人没敢发。
感想：英文传单应该有一段引用sca5的原文，不然只说歧视，大家有点搞不清状况。
3。娃的音乐课，好几个中国家长，没得说都痛快签了，一个妈妈的老公（怎么这么绕
。。）还去华夏帮忙搜签名来着。老师是白人，基督徒，只给了传单，没来得及提签名
就上课了。一个韩国妈妈，一听就说知道这件事，欣然提笔签名。
4。eastgate幼儿园我只赶上了第二拨放学时间，家长非常非常给力，基本一问都听说
过，马上就签，还招呼认识的人来签，还感谢我送签上门，还聚在一起议论。一个爸爸
本身是公民，对我们的搜签名行动持谨慎乐观态度，他认为动员 周围的人都去投票更
紧迫，他已经在动员周围的人了。
一个印度妈妈，听了解释后，很爽快签名，临走还祝我 good luck，另一个印度妈妈，
不但签名，还很气愤地讨伐了政府不重视教育，把全天的tk改成半天，我也跟她一起义
愤填膺了一下，向她宣传了俺们中国再穷不能穷教育的口号，印度妈妈深以为然。
也有中国妈妈不太知道sca5，也就没签名，但是传单拿走了。
家长们建议我上学送孩子的时段再来，那时候人比较集中，而且孩子扔进去，手里空，
也方便签名，我觉得考虑到eastgate的中国人密度，亚裔密度，和地利，应该组织2、3
人，在早晨8：30到9“30过去，搜集签名和做宣传。
5。游泳课，签了几个熟人，还有碰巧站在熟人旁边的白人，这次接触的白人比中国人
的意见还一致，而且签名也爽快，一个看似亚裔但是不说中文的爸爸签了，还跟我聊了
不少，妈妈表示不用再签了。
还有几个同胞也都签了，也聊了聊，都是知道这件事的。
不少人表示网上都签过，我解释了这个是面谈用的。
但是仍然有同胞谢绝了纸上签名，表示网上签过了，我表示理解和感谢。
还有人问，不是搁置了吗？我赶紧给辟谣，但是感觉一个人说话，有点像别有所图或者
卖东西的。。。
6。过桥园吃饭，揪住了百忙之中的老板，给我签了个名，一个高个男伙计表示他们班
级（单位？没听清）都在议论，让我等下，不过看他们太忙，没好意思打搅生意，拿着
老板的签名走了，老板上次反jk事件，还帮我们发传单来着，大家以后有类似活动可以
考虑在过桥园设个宣传点，那里吃饭的老美也很多。
就这些，不管最终有多少效果，我做了我能做的，希望大家也多跟周围的人宣传，以理
服人，找不同的切入点来进行宣传，也能尊重不同的意见。

1, What does SCA5 stand for?
Answer: Senate Constitutional Amendment No.5.
2, What does SCA5 amend?
Answer:
SCA5 removes the portion of Section 31 which prohibits discrimination
in the area of public education.
“(a) The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential
treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color,
ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public
education, or public contracting . . .” (Now Section 31 of Article I of the
California Constitution)
3, What does that mean?
Answer:
1) Deletes the specific provisions implemented through the enactment of
Proposition 209 that prohibit the State from granting preferential treatment
to individuals or groups on the basis of race, sex, ethnicity, or national
origin, in the operation of public education.
2) Deletes the UC and the public school system from the definition of the
“state” under Section 31(a) of Article I, thereby repealing the
application of the provisions of Proposition 209 to those entities.
4, What’s the current status of SCA5?
Answer:
SCA-5 was passed in the California Senate on Jan. 30, 2014.[2] It now awaits
a vote in the California State Assembly. If approved, SCA-5 will be
presented to California public voters as a referendum at the statewide
election on November 4, 2014.
5, Should NOT the university increase diversity?
Answer:
1) Based on publicly accessible data, it is indisputable that both in
absolute numbers and percentages, minorities that attend the University of
California have increased. Comparing the data in 1996 and 2013: Black
students' population increased from 4% to 4.3% out of 6.6% of the California
population, Chicanos and Latinos increased from 14.3% to 27.8% out of
38.2% population, Asian increased from 32% to 35.9% out of 13.9%
population. The only race group with decreased student population is
whites (decreased from 41% to 27.9%, out of 39.4% population).
2) Race-based preferential treatments in College admission do not work
based on latest research.
6, Why should I oppose SCA-5?
Answer: It’s just un-American. Discrimination is completely the opposite of
who we are as a state and as a nation. In order to protect ours and future
generations from the threat of “Legal” discrimination, I strongly urge you
to say NO to SCA5 and express your concern to your assemblyman.
7, What should I do to oppose SCA-5?
Answer: We are collecting live signature to present to the local assemblymen.

而已，所以我的游说工作量不大，就是个体力活。 | c***z
