道了.倒是要注意房子是不是在default/foreclosure status.曾见过类似被欺骗的报
道-房客租房不到一/两个月,银行上门来取房子了.
另外,本站SDer等人的经历和建议,不管你是租私人的还是公司的房子,入住前最好照
相和录像存档以备将来退房时被恶意欺诈.

我觉的还是和公司签apartment 比较靠谱。
刚去看了一个condo,那个房东给我发个application form 过来。
里面什么SSN,银行帐号都要填。还要我不用担心。
丫当我是猪脑子啊,SSN,银行帐号都要,我能不担心么。
还是算了。
去问问附近的lease office,那个房东给的房租也不便宜。押金还要一个月房租。 |

this. Here is a quote.
"These rules changed dramatically on May 20, 2009, when President Obama
signed the "Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act of 2009." This legislation
provided that leases would survive a foreclosure -- meaning the tenant
could stay at least until the end of the lease, and that month-to-month
tenants would be entitled to 90 days' notice before having to move out (this
notice period is longer than any state's non-foreclosure notice period, a
real boon to tenants).
An exception was carved out for the buyer who intends to live on the
property -- this buyer may terminate a lease with 90 days' notice.
Importantly, the law provides that any state legislation that is more
generous to tenants will not be preempted by the federal law. These
protections apply to Section 8 tenants, too."

Sale agent开出的条件之一就是,一月底之前close,但须让现任房客住到三月底,而
buyer不收取其房租。
不知如何解释。

information. If your identity is stolen, he or she will become the first
suspect.
Seems you trust a low-pay employee of a "big company" more than a property owner.

没有你的SSN,不查过你的信用记录,私人谁敢租房子给你啊
万一你根本没收入还欠了一屁股债,根本交不起房租呢?
这都是standard的东东,没啥大惊小怪的吧

credit score/history. Therefore, SSN may be necessary.

But I don't think you need to provide your bank account numbers.
For public rental companies asking for bank account information, you have
less worries, because of the nature
of the business, they are less likely to be fraudulent.
You need to be extra careful when dealing with private landlords. Always
ask questions: why you need this
information? Is there any evidence supporting your claims? Remember, to have
a written records (via
emailing).
