Inspired by Born to Run.
Beginning with a little more than 2 miles in the morning, it feels so great
that I started walking barefoot wherever I go now unless it is not allowed (
Starbucks so far for example). Here are a couple of my observations to share
1. Your foot is the best cushion system designed by the nature. With so many
sensors at the bottom, it is also the best feedback/correction system.
2. With barefoot, your body instantly lift up. There is no way your brain
will allow you to sink your weight on your delicate feet.
3. Your heel can still touch the ground as long as no impact. Unlike
forefoot strike running with cushioned shoes where your heel is forced to
lift up by the cushion below, this will alleviate stress to your calves.
4. As long as your feet can take it, any other parts of your body can take
it. Wearing shoes allow the feet to take harder impact than what your body
can take. As reasoned in Born to Run, the little cushion under your shoes
can only absorb shocks to your bony heel but not your joints etc.
5. At last, you get a wonderful free foot massage.

地上有石头啥的不扎脚么?
光脚了发现脚比较弱
我隔天在跑步机上慢跑3次了, 现在左脚脚掌有点疼

是有点轻微的扎脚,不过这正是你所希望的,防止落脚太重,同时还能massage。
可能不是你的脚弱而是你的core strength不够强大。另外跑步机跟路面相差还是太大
,太光滑,跟穿鞋可能也没多大区别,另外以我有限的跑跑步机的感受,跟路跑的感觉
不太一样。

哇,我也想尝试这个,目前还不敢,太硌脚了。
不过,好像有那种鞋子买,五指鞋,据说跟赤脚跑得感觉很类似。。。。

我继续练abs
要真的能像穿鞋那样跑貌似得花一段时间适应
穿鞋的时候我是大腿酸
光脚了问题都处在小腿以下
挺有趣的

好巧,我上个星期五也开始了光脚走路,从车站走到公司,公司门口再穿上鞋子。第一
次走觉得非常硌脚,今天第二次走就好得多了,觉得很神奇。习惯了光脚走路以后,穿
上鞋就觉得好像走在云里一样,飘来飘去的,而且觉得自己好像高了一点啊,呵呵。
光脚走路确实用到了不同的肌肉,脚底按摩的感觉也很好,时间长了觉得精神很好,头
发根都竖起来了,我觉得这个会上瘾,才2天我已经有点不愿意穿鞋子了,强烈推荐。

真的这么神奇?我害怕地上万一有玻璃渣子之类的东西。

走你熟悉的路,小心一点,开始的时候距离不要太长,比如1-2个mile之类,不会有问
题的。

哈哈,知音啊!光脚走后,的确感觉神清气爽,尤其是早上,路面比较凉,还没被太阳

是有这个倾向,不过我感觉还是比穿cushion的鞋forefoot strike跑对小腿calves的压
力要小。

光脚在Stevens Creek Trail上走了一英里。
这个Trail虽然是Paved,但是没有柏油,都是碎石,穿鞋
跑过无数次,一直觉得很平整。今天光脚走才感觉扎死了。
Trail上偶尔有柏油条,走在上面很平滑,不扎脚。
虽然很扎,但是感觉是天然脚底按摩,也就痛苦得享受了。

As a test, I went out jogging in my trail running shoes for about 4 miles
today. Man, not only it feels awkward now, I can feel discomfort and
irritation in my joints especially hip joints. They are still far from pain
threshold. I would certainly have dismissed it as normal had I not tried
barefoot walking/running. Keep in mind, I paid special attention to my
walking form: avoid heel strike and lift up my body by engaging my core.
I have been mixing walking and running on barefoot recently. The longest
trip is to walk 4.2 miles to the nearest starbucks with a laptop and a pair
of slickers in my backpack, took a break at starbucks working for one to two
hours and then run back on barefoot most of the way.

跑和走还是很大区别的,跑的冲击显然要大很多,需要
take it very very slowly...
就算是form正确,腿部肌肉也不是一下能handle的。。

Hehe, thanks for the comments. But, I am a little confused. I was talking
about the discomfort associated with even walking in my shoes.
Walking/running on barefoot even with my laptop backpack does not cause any
problem to my joints and legs.

你这个很怪,俺是穿五指后发现还是对腿伤得挺厉害的,不敢跑太多。。。

It is counter intuitive. But, I guess I am just verifying what Chris says in
"Born to Run" with my own experience.
The point I want to make is that: Had I not try barefoot walking/running, I
would never bother to notice the slight discomfort/irritation in my joints
when I just walk in shoes for 4 miles. I bet most people here would not
notice it either. It is something you can only tell when you have a
completely new reference line.
In my running log last year, I remember I only pointed out some discomfort (
not even willing to call it pain) after I do something like a 10 mile tempo
run (7:15 pace) in shoes.
I don't have experience with 五指 and have not yet run more than 5 miles on
barefoot. I'll have to see how I feel when I do long run (8+ miles) on
barefoot. I guess your experience is for long run in 五指.

其实道理很简单,光脚的时候,人自然会跑慢,落脚更轻,
让肌肉去承受冲击。你应该有运动底子,所以腿上肌肉应
该已经比较厉害,所以穿鞋大步跑的冲击会比光脚小步慢慢
跑/走的冲击反而更大。。
但是对于刚开始跑步的新人,特别是腿上根本没啥肌肉的人
来说,不穿鞋跑,也根本控制不住落脚,承受冲击的也只能是
joint/knee,特别是如果在硬路面的话,受伤几率只会更大。。
所以是否光脚跑,跑多少也是因人而异的。。我个人比较认同
的还是从普通跑鞋开始穿,慢慢越穿越薄,让腿上的肌肉慢慢
长起来比较好,对于纯新人来说。。
