H、L、O、P类签证颁发给赴美短期工作的申请人。这几类签证都要求准备雇佣申请人的
美国公司或其它机构首先在美国公民及移民事务署(USCIS)递交雇佣外国员工的申请书
。如果申请被批准,雇佣公司将获发I-797 表,之后申请人即可申请签证。
上述签证类别的具体解释:
H 签 证:H 签证签发给赴美短期工作的申请人。大多数短期工作签证的有效期为一年,
入境次数为多次。
L签证:L签证签发给被其中国公司调派到美国分公司或合资公司工作的人员。申请人必
须将在美国担任经理级职务或具有专业知识,且在申请签证前的三年中至少为同一雇主
或公司连续工作至少一年。大多数L签证的有效期为一年内或两年内可多次入境,其有
效期长短视申请人工作许可批准书上规定的工作期限而定。
O或P类签证: 这两种签证签发给赴美进行表演、教学或参加文化交流活动的有特殊技
能的演艺人员或某些行业专业人士。申请人在中国的单位和美国的接待方须与美国公民
及移民事务署联系,得知如何为申请人递交上述两类工作申请。
我以前说过,不排除有某些牛人通过一些非常人能做的达到途径做到一个普通人可以做

into the states, you can hire her as a babysitter/live-in nanny. |

Visitors to the US seeking employment as an au pair will normally have to
obtain an exchange visa J1. US visa law does not usually permit B1 or B2
visa holders or those admitted without a visa to work as au pairs, nannies
or mother’s helpers. Exceptions are made for applicants who accompany a US
citizen or non-immigrant visa holder. The J1 visa must be obtained through
an officially approved exchange visitor scheme, which is administered by the
Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. |
