外公4年前过世，不知道这个是否会对visa有影响？

Dear Visa officer,
This is AAA writing on behalf of my grandma, Ms. BBB, to apply for a B2-
visitor visa for a short visit to me.
I am currently a full-time graduate student (PhD candidate) studying in CCC University in New Jersey, holding an F1 visa. I started my graduate study in September of 2008. My major is electronic engineering, and my research focuses on DDD. I’ve been back to China every summer since 2008.
I invite my grandma to visit me simply because I hope to stay with my
grandma for a while and take her around the nearby cities to experience
American life and culture. I was brought up mostly by my grandma, and I am always thinking of some ways to give back my love to her. Since she is still in a good physical condition, I hope to bring her to my place in US and let her experience American life.
During her two-month visit in United States (Sep XXth, 2011 ~ Nov XXth, 2011, shown in the air ticket), she will stay with me in my campus apartment in CCC University (address). We plan to visit New York City and Washington DC during my weekend time; and during the rest time she will stay in CCC with me. My grandma is financially stable to support her own trip (see her bank account / salary document).
It will be highly appreciated if you could grant my grandma visa for a short trip to the United States.
