Poll: Record Support for Marriage in California

Support for marriage equality in the nation’s most populous state has a
reached a record high, according to a Field Poll released Wednesday.
The poll of about 1,000 California voters finds 59% in favor of marriage
rights for same-sex couples, with 34% opposed.
Field notes:
This division of sentiment is nearly a complete reversal of the findings
from the first time The Field Poll began measuring Californians’ attitudes
toward same-sex marriage in 1977. At that time, 59% disapproved and 28% were
in favor....
Very large or sizeable majorities of sub-groups of the state’s electorate
now supports allowing same-sex marriage. These include voters in each of the
four major regions of the state, Democrats, non-partisans, middle-of-the-
road and liberal voters, young and middle age groups, men and women, white
non-Hispanics, married as well as single voters, Catholics, voters
affiliated with non- Christian religions, and those with no religious
preference.
Sentiment on this issue is mixed among voters age 65 and older, African-
Americans and Protestants.
Republicans and political conservatives are the only major blocs where
majorities are opposed to gays and lesbians marrying. |

发帖数: 4174 | 6 光靠人死不能完全解释这么快的变化，你看那些对GAY MARRIAGE从投NO到YES的
POLITICIAN不就是例子吗？虽然他们都是见风使舵的主。还有一些人是受自己的小孩的
影响，有意思的是这些小孩并不是GAY，是他们的开明感化了父母，以前我转过文学城
作家海上的云的文章就是讲她是这么转变的，她还是一个虔诚的基督徒。大部分人都是
善良的，如果让他们认识到反对平权是损人不利己的，就不会反对了。最近几个州的成
功，部分得益于考虑到担心宗教自由的人的心情，如果再能比以前更好地回答小孩教育
的问题，支持的人就会更多。

随着这几年不断的宣传，摇摆派可能转变立场。
当然，人群的老少更替也是一个因素，
但我觉得在3年多时间并不长，内老少更替不会这么大变化。
主要还是宣传因素。

按美国人均寿命78岁来计算，
3年时间，会死掉3.8%的老人。
同时又有3.8%的新人满足投票年龄。
此消彼长，就是7.6%的差异。
不过老少更替也是宣传的作用，
没有宣传，年轻人不会自动地就变成友同立场。

最近幾年的死亡率大約8.6/1000
再加上這幾年以來移民入籍的數量驟增
適齡的選民增加的比率應該更大，新移民友同的比例可能還是超過多數的。
宣傳得力之外，選民以新換舊的作用還是挺大的。

同的----这会产生一个很大的误差啊。

如果真要用data來說明這個趨勢，那得畫表分析了。
應該說，民意的趨勢，因為選民的新舊更替，加上宣傳得力，
一年一年朝這友同這邊來了，
從民調來看的話可能更說明問題，
gallop的最近的民調看得出來，
民意的改變趨勢來得並不那麼突然，
而是漸進的。

即使死的3.8%全是反同婚的，3.8%新人全是支持的（希望如此！），支持率也只增加3.

哈哈，我还以为只有我数学差，没想到学理科的也有算错的时候。
GRE靠偷看旁边学理科的人的答案，数学才勉强考了760的人飘过...

拿出1块钱放进右边口袋，这时候两个口袋里差多少钱？差2块钱，不是差1块钱啊。

这个嘛，本来就是算个大概。只能估计个数量级。
所以就没有考虑死的人新的人是不是全部一致意见
