1. 我对这方面不了解, 请问这算是这几年的业界标准吗?
2. 作为国际学生, 在H1B期间被lay off又有noncompete一般都怎么做呢?
3. 即便假设拿到了绿卡, 那这么长的noncompete是不是只能改行了? 有什么公司会愿
意招一两年不能工作的人呢?

unless you gonna work in ca in the first place.

从而保护公司。个人经验，为安全起见，如果离开公司的话，和general counsel谈一
下，是ok的(补充一点就是还要注意nonsolicitation条款，另外如果要带走比如
Bloomberg settings, trading platform settings， contacts list etc都是要
general counsel写书面允许的)，因为如果公司enforce的话，是需要在此期间继续付
你薪酬的包括分红，很多公司不愿意，所以不会真的enforce，但也不排除有很轴的公
司会enforce。 |

What other people mean is that if you join that firm but work from and sign
the contract in CA, then the non-complete cannot be enforced due to the
state law (AFAIK, same thing in MA). Then, after you start working for that
firm in CA, you can relocate to other states for that firm, and the non-
complete agreement can't take effect unless you sign another contract with
the same firm again after relocation.

usually have 1 year-2 non-compete agreement. Those people usually continue
on their own researches for the next adventure (
usually something a lot bigger :)) while taking the 1-2 year off. |

发帖数: 38 | 19 Fire with cause是不一样的，但是还是可以询问general counsel, 即使是楼上提到的
citadel, 前些年和jump的官司很有名吧，也没有enforce这个条款，RT不清楚，其他几
个大quant基金，还有非quant基金，pm跳来跳去很平常吧，可以在blooMberg上看看基
金Pm人员变动。还是这句话，有enforce的情况，not everyone. |
