I am seeking to place a Risk/Pricing Manager. This position is most likely
junior to your status however I am hoping you may know of someone I may want
to speak with. This position will be highly visible and report directly to
the company chief credit officer.This person's contributions will directly
effect the company's bottom line.
Risk / Pricing Manager - auto finance - Cincinnati area -Are you looking for
a position with a growing consumer finance company ?
Our client is looking for a very hands-on The Risk Manager to actively
supervise, propose and validate pricing models and programs to support
product lines. This critical role is a source of key information and
analysis. This position will also ensure decisions and strategies around
consumer pricing models are based in fact and supported with strong
analytics. This position will also be responsible for maintaining historical
pricing data, utilizing static pool reports, developing pricing options to
meet competitive opportunities, and providing input for profitability
projections. Will also supervise a Pricing Analyst to support of the above
objectives.
Role and Responsibilities: . Prepare analysis and recommendations to better
manage risk. . Develop appropriate risk mitigation framework and continuous
monitoring. . Develop and support the profitability/pricing models regarding
the methodology and inputs used for pricing the deals and outputs for use
in all lines of business. . Analyze historical data on relevant financial
ratios and other external market data for pricing strategies. . Ability to
recognize potential problems and opportunities and have the resolve to push
your agenda . Take an active role in supporting the forecasting
methodologies to assist in producing sophisticated analytics. . Provide
regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting. . Recommend policies/
actions/analyses to optimize the pricing programs. . Review contract
attribute data to better leverage pricing strategies. . Establish long term
analysis to facilitate the monitoring of contract attributes. . Document and
communicate analyses results and insights. . Provide project support and
analyses. . Track monthly volume and profitability targets by program,
markets, and dealers. . Review and analyze the Company's pricing compared to
published programs/terms of competitors in the market place. . Establish a
system of documentation for data, reports, policies, and strategies.
To help ensure a great fit for both the company and the candidate, we are
seeking candidates with the following experience / skills / abilities: .
Experience working with and knowledge of pricing models existing in the
market, and experience in statistical modeling and model validation in
consumer finance . Strong analytical skills with database experience in SAS,
SQL, or other a plus. . Excellent communication skills with the ability to
express methodology and modeling concepts. . Comfortable working both
independently and in a team environment. . Excellent verbal, written, and
presentation communication skills are required. . Advanced degree in
statistics /mathematics, finance, or other quantitative field from a
reputable institution. . Demonstrated history of working in a role requiring
advanced mathematical, analytical, and computer skills. . Proficiency with
Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Access a plus. . Minimum of 5-7 years of related
experience in consumer finance risk /pricing
