A:
Think of minimum as a function on triangle (0,0), (0,1) and (1,1). The
"height" is 1/3, and the "base" is 1/2. Then the volume is 1/18. There
is another triangle (0,0), (1,0) and (1,1). So the total volume is 1/9.
