AD: associate director; it is between VP and MD?
It seems that everybody can go from analyst--associate-VP as long as you can hold your job in there. | q*******c

system like analyst-associate-AVP-VP-D-MD. But Bear Stern does not have AVP,
so their VP is like AVP in other banks.
Some banks (UBS) and rating agencies (Fitch) use analyst-asso-AD-D-Senior D

the latter one is not a quant title.
