标 题: Top10名校的Full Professor vs.Top10投行的Managing Director

好奇问一下，大家觉得Top10名校的Full Professor和Top10投行的Managing Director
，哪个在各自的领域成就和社会地位更高一些？更牛一些？或者说学术界的人和公司的
人互相跳槽的时候，大致应该瞄准什么样的位置。
学校的Asst Prof, Asso Prof和Full Prof与公司里的什么level比较接近？
我觉得Top10名校的Full Professor和Top10投行的Managing Director，或者
Fortune100的AVP级别应该差不多牛。
系主任／院长/院士 ＝ 投行的Senior MD或Partner, 大公司的VP
校长／诺奖 ＝ Executive Team/CXO
Asso Professor = Director/Senior Manager
Asst Professor = Manager/Supervisor

哦。
看看郎咸平的经历就知道了，wall street面了一圈都被踢出来，没有去路的情况下才
去做professor的。

MD level 的很多都是他们的学生学弟。 呵呵

Dai Qiang, Asst Prof at NYU/UNC=>Chief Risk Officer and Partner, Capula
Investment
Ou-Yang Hui, Asso Prof at Duke=>Senior VP, Lehman =>MD, Nomura => MD, UBS
先做几年faculty再进投行，相比毕业就直接入行一步步从associate做起的， 是不是
能升得快一点儿？ |

动他，除非学校到了吧，工资一般都一直在加，加到退休，退休工资也高。何况教授很
多都自己写书，自己开公司，额外收入也非常高。教授说白了就是个sales，自己的团
队帮自己打工，自己到处去忽悠钱。 |
