recommended plan is to pursue H-1B status on your behalf via consular
processing (along with your H4 dependents). This means that you and your
dependents will need to plan on departing the U.S. at the end of your J-1
status and apply for your respective H-1B and H-4 visa stamps at a consular
post abroad in order to be eligible to enter into the U.S. in H-1B, H4
status.
为何不是chang of status呢?迷惑中，又让我发家属的申请材料（应该是I-539吧），
我的理解是走大使馆签证就不
需要I-539申请啊。
有人了解情况吗？跟h4有关还是中间换过实验室有关?

发帖数: 19 | 2 直接跟小秘说你倾向于境内转咯，你这个change status时间足够啊，只是同时提交h4,
premium processing 的话，h1两个周会有结果，但h4要等两三个月。
