发帖数: 749 | 1 前段时间曾经问过：H1-B刚刚拿到手，但是PI突然说funding没有了。
在大家的建议下积极联系最终接受了一个offer。
但是，新东家今天说办理H1B要3-4个月(这也是预料之中的，不过原以为可以提交申请
后拿receipt 工作的)，而这边只能待到10月底。
这是未来PI的信:The time-consuming step turns out arise from a requirement
that XXX University request the "prevailing wage" for the position/
individual from the federal government. This should take all of one day,
but in practice this runs about 2 months. Apparently this is known as a
being a big issue here - some universities have apparently taken the
position that they will submit H1B visas without the prevailing wage info
from the federal government, but XXX University counsel (at a much higher
pay level than me!) has ruled that XXX University cannot do this. Therefore
we are stuck with two months right out of the gate because of how slow the
government is on this. Then your position has to be advertised for 10
business days before it can be filled (after this time is when the H1B

果我愿意接受低工资，可以加快申请吗？
