IRS requires that, before leaving the United States, all aliens must obtain
a Certificate of Compliance, to prove that they have met all federal tax
requirement. To receive such certificate (also known as sailing permit or
departure permit), I have to file a Form 1040C, together with a series of
supporting documents.
3. Receipts for income taxes paid on these returns;
5. Statement from each employer you worked for this year showing wages paid
and tax withheld,
