m******u 发帖数: 11 | 1 Job Description: The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Washington
University School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral
research associate in medical imaging. The successful candidate will
primarily focus on developing MRI techniques to guide radiation therapy. The
department has excellent resources to support cutting-edge research
activities. The first ViewRay system in the world which provides continuous
MR guidance for radiation therapy is currently under installation. The
department also plans to acquire a state-of-the-art 3T MRI scanner to
enhance the imaging capability. The successful candidate will also have the
opportunity to collaborate on other projects (e.g. tumor response study and
motion management) and to work closely with an interdisciplinary team of
medical physicists and clinicians.
Facility and Equipment: Washington University School of Medicine is
consistently ranked one of the top five medical schools in the country. The
Department of Radiation Oncology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, one of the NCI
Comprehensive Cancer Centers, is equipped with six conventional linear
accelerators and two linear accelerators with on-board CT. Advanced imaging
systems include a 1.5T Philips MRI scanner and two multi-slice CT scanners (
Philips 16-slice and 64-slice). The department is equipped with the first
ViewRay radiotherapy system in the world (currently under installation) and
plans to acquire a new state-of-the-art 3T MRI scanner. Advanced treatment
planning systems include the Philips Pinnacle and Varian Eclipse planning
systems supporting the external beam and brachytherapy treatment planning
processes.
Requirements: This position requires a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Medical
Physics, electrical engineering, or other related fields. The ideal
candidate should have a strong background in MR physics, experience with
pulse sequence programming, MRI data acquisition and analysis, and
proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++. Experience with Philips pulse sequence
programming environment is desirable but not required.
