Table Tennis League
$100,000 in Prize Money
Starts in September 2012
Our Mission is to grow, support, and strengthen USATT clubs through a
nationwide club league system. This system will benefit clubs, players,
coaches, our sponsors, and USATT.
The USNTTL is a Club-based league open to all teams representing a club. A
club is defined as a business, school, Boys and Girls club, recreational,
senior center, community center, and/or a church located anywhere in the U.S.
Divisions 1 through 3 is for USATT members, Division 4 is for corporate
teams, and Division 5 is for school teams. The league will consist of local
area, regional, and national competitions. The top teams from the local area
will advance to the regional, and the top teams from the regional will
advance to the national competition.
Every club must register with USNTTL in order to sign up their team(s). The
registration fee is waived for all USATT affiliated clubs until January 31,
2012. New USATT affiliated clubs may join the league at the beginning of
each season and their registration fee is waived assuming they register with
USNTTL within 90 days of their affiliation with USATT.
A club may have multiple teams participating in the league and either the
same or different players may represent their club each time. In case the
club has teams in different divisions, players from the lower division may
represent their club in the higher division, but players from the higher
division may not represent their club in lower divisions. Clubs must submit
a list of all players who will represent them in each division.
To start the league, clubs will be placed in a division appropriate to the
level of the top 3 players on their list. Once the league has started all
new teams entering the league will start at the bottom and will have to earn
their way to the top.
The regular season begins the first week of September 2012 and continues for
16 weeks. Each team is part of a Division. Each team plays the other teams
twice. The scheduling of matches are flexible to the extent that teams are
given an entire week for the match to be played.
The two teams scheduled to play have the responsibility of arranging the
playing time and location. The match cards for recordkeeping during play are
available on this website. Schedules of play are issued by the League
Administrator. Results are submitted through this site by Team Captains of
the winning team.
The League will be played in a round robin system in each division. Matches
are to be played on a best of 5 games, with 11 points winning a game. Team
competitions are best of 9 matches. The game will be ended as soon as one of
the two teams wins 5 matches. In the case that there are some matches still
playing, the result should include the final result of these matches.
Matches could be scheduled for any day of the week, but must consider nearby
and also major tournaments posted in the USATT website. If the club has no
available location for the Match, it will be assigned the best location
among the other clubs that can host it. At the end of the regular season,
teams with the best win/loss record will be invited to a regional
championship. Top finishers from the regional championships will then be
invited to compete in the Team League National Championships.
Each division has at most 12 spots for 12 teams. The highest Division will
be the First Division, which has the strongest teams, followed by the,
Second, Third, etc....divisions. In the case that a league has many
divisions, the last two teams from each division will have to play against
the best two teams from the next lowest division. Winners will go to the
higher of the two divisions and losers will go down to the lower of the two
divisions. All other teams will keep their spot in their division.
If a Club decides to not participate in the competition, it will lose its
spot in the Division. If in the future the club decides to compete again, it
will have to follow the regulations as any other new club, starting in the
lowest division.
During competition all existing USATT rules apply. Players must be
respectful to all, including their opponents, referees, and directors of the
league. Players must wear appropriate sport clothes according to the league
regulations. Hitting tables is prohibited: 2 points will be deducted from
the team for the first intentional offense, and the second time the player
will be disqualified. If the same player intentionally hits the table again
during another match, this player will be disqualified for the remaining
season.
The Results Sheet is also a waiver and acknowledgement of the rules
regulations of the league. In addition to the scores, it has to include the
names and signatures of the players that are playing in the Match.
All media material from the league may be used by USNTTL without the consent
of players, clubs, directors, or sponsors. Teams are encouraged to be on
time to the locations. After the time is scheduled, the team hosting the
match should wait up to 30 minutes, after that, if the opposing team is not
in the location (at least two members), it will be defaulted. The team from
the club visiting the location can call to the club hosting the match,
informing that they are running late, so they need to change the time to
start the match. Under reasonable reasons the match can be moved later, only
if the club hosting the match is willing to do so.
Every match won will receive 3 points, and every match lost will receive 1
point. The team will receive the total points received for their best five
matches during the event. Teams must wear the same T-Shirt representing
their club in all the matches in the league. Those players that need more
than one T-Shirt during the team competition have to have more than one T-
Shirt from their club. Players are not allowed to use different T-Shirts
than their teammates. T-Shirts can include logos from different sponsors or
brands related or not with Table Tennis. Players that are playing a League
Match without using the proper T-Shirt will be disqualified.
Pictures will be taken to be included in the website and newsletter
according to our Media policy, but will also show the directors that the
teams are in compliance with our T-Shirt policy.
New players can be included in the teams as far as their USATT rating is
lower than the average in the division they enter. The Club hosting a match
has to provide a reasonable place to play, tables with a one inch top and
balls for the match.
The vast majority of matches will be played without an official umpire.
Therefore, we recommend that teams appoint someone to perform scorekeeping
functions in each match. While not an umpire, per se, the scorekeeper can
keep track of score, service rotation, timeouts and lets, removing a great
many possible disputes. If two teams cannot agree on a match outcome or
dispute the reported results, the first recourse is to seek a ruling from
the Regional Coordinator. If dissatisfaction continues beyond that point, or
if an RC is unable to make a judgment, the disputing parties can request
the RC to forward their problem to the League Office. A ruling made by the
League Office is final. No further appeals process exists beyond the League
Office.
Events with insufficient number of entries may be modified, combined with
other events, or cancelled at the discretion of the organizing committee. | J********9 发帖数: 36508 | 3 目的很明显:
