one simple thing to do is to put back/address/navigation at the bottom

a little to reach buttons, instead of raising your arm to reach buttons on
top.
for touch, swipe is the best interaction...buttons, esp big buttons on
screen will occupy precious space for small screens.

how long is your thumb? i imagine it can only cover a small portion of the
display, unless you mean 7" tablet.
i'm fine with chrome on the phone. why should i worry about chrome on pad?
after all, what's the point about pc?
