printed quads are a bit too big for most trips, and for some trips you need to
bring 2, maybe 4.
If you don't want to buy Topo! software, what I do is to download all quads
from USGS and seam them myself. |

the software is you can position the area the way you want instead of going
by the quad boundaries, which is sometimes inconvenient. Major peaks such as
Hood and Rainier are sometimes divided right in the middle. That's too
annoying.
Do you have a HUGE map that is the quads seamed all together? Care to share?

发帖数: 1285 | 7 National Geographic's Topo! series has seamless 24K maps for all states.
You can also plan waypoints/routes and save as GPS files.
