发帖数: 35 | 1 Shortly after Ingraham Flat camp came Ingraham Glacier traverse. This, and
the DC (Disappointment Cleaver) are the most dangerous part of the climb. In
1981, 11 RMI clients died in a single accident in the traverse. One huge
ice block released from Seracs field just 100-200 feet above the traverse
route and fell directly on 22 climbers down there. 11 died instantly.
I moved as fast as I could on the traverse. This year, unlike last time I
climbed DC route, there were just a few cravasses at the |
