发帖数: 10 | 1 刚刚拿到offer,是一家精神病医院。 我本人从来没有精神病护理的经验，除了实习的
时候在精神病科呆过，当时是学生，我们也没干什么，就是和病人说说话。我只有不到
一年nurisng home 的工作经验，而且手头不快，现在又是怀孕2个月，适合在精神病医
院工作吗？真不知道美国的精神病医院是什么样子，那里的护士都做什么呀？心里没谱
，到底要不要接受这个offer.不过也很想增加一些自己的阅历和经验，哎，犹豫中。有
经验的xdjm给些建议把，万分感谢。 |

发帖数: 1886 | 5 多好的工作啊，不要把psych unit想象得太恐怖。
病人会按照病情严重程度生活在不同的区域，有很多病人其实并没啥。需要在被关闭的
区域里面看官病人的大部分时候并不是RN，RN更多负责给药， review病情，和MD，学
生一起每天interview病人之类的。
有很多上年纪的RN专门挑psych，因为没有那么多家属的骚扰，没有很多hygiene上的工
作，是份很neat的工作。如果是VA的psych就更爽了，福利众所周知的好啊。。。 |

发帖数: 218 | 6 现在psych 病房可是很多护士要去呀，因为工作清闲些。不过因为你怀孕了，考虑安全
因素也是必要的。在签合同前，能不能问清楚了，在病房里面，端茶送饭，换床单之类
的活儿又没有CNA 可以帮忙，你的情况就是要尽量避免和病人不必要的正面单独接触。 |

compared to med-surg,it's much less demanding physically and less stressful
mentally. I normally have 4-5 patients,pass meds to 5-7 patients depending
on the number of Mental health workers on the units. Ocassionly I do
dressing changes or other cares like colostomy etc.most patients are
indenpendent of ADLs. My daily job also includes doing rounds(check pt every
15-30minutes to make sure they are not doing anything to harm sel |

从这一点来看，就非常适合大肚婆，一直工作到生都没问题！PSYCH的工作在我毕业的
那个学校周围都
是要抢的。。。。

如果还看不出来你怀孕了，等雇佣你了之后再说。
精神科是个很轻松的科，相比其他临床科室。我们科2个RN，去年先后调到精神科去了
，病人自理性强，不用bedcare，发药时站排到nursingstation来服药。
医院对医护人员的防护措施严密。

发帖数: 73 | 13 I got a job offer from a private psych hospital. I'm thinking if I should
take it. Psych nurse wasn't what I wanted to be. But right now it's very
hard to find a job. Most hospitals want RNs with experiences. If I turn this
offer down, I will have to go back to school. :( |
