发帖数: 1086 | 6 The first trimester altrasound for Down Syndrom is not a diagnostic test, is
just a screening, just tell you that you might have higher chance to carry
a sick baby or not.
If i were you, i would not do it, especially you have to pay by yourself.
If you are over 35,your doctor would ask you to do amniocentesis, you could
consider it.

发帖数: 131 | 9 when I was pregnant with my son, i didn't do the first trimester ultrasound
screening, then my AFP level (at 15week) indicated very high chance of fetus
down symdrom. I actually did the second trimester ultrasound and the doctor
said everything looked normal and didn't recommend amniocentesis. It was
still worrysome for the rest of pregnancy but my son turned out to be fine.
That is why I am wondering whether it is OK not to do the first one but do
the second one. |
