Jonathan Watts travels throughout China to report from the frontlines of
climate change as he seeks answers to the most important questions shaping
the future of China and our planet: How has China’s political and cultural
past influenced its present? How has the turbocharged pace of development
changed everyday life for its ordinary citizens? What are the consequences?
Starting from China’s mountainous peaks and descending into the crowded,
polluted plains, Watts draws on more than 200 interviews with senior
politicians, scientists, businessmen, and individuals to describe how rapid
pace of change in one country has put not only its citizens, but the future
of our planet, in jeopardy.
Jonathan Watts is the Asia Environment Correspondent for The Guardian. He
will be joined by Orville Schell, Arthur Ross Director of the Center on US-
China Relations at Asia Society. | L******k 发帖数: 33825 | | m*******y 发帖数: 14292 | | m*****5 发帖数: 23482 | 4
