I WOULD go with Ridgewood.
Tenafly is not bad. Its school is among the top in state public system.
But Ridgewood offers just a bit more.
Town is nice. Food is great. Commute a bit longer, but with more options.
If you don't have to commute to city everyday, then definitely ridgewood.
But if you are Jew, then Tenafly nice.
