Is this normal practice here? I remember we just put $5000 when we bought
our 1st house somewhere else.

there might be multiple offers on it, the answer is yes. The more you put
down the more you committed to the deal. Will there be any risk not getting
the deposit back in case you back out from the deal? Yes, there is.
Find all the fact about the property and offer. Do whatever you comfortable
with? Don't let you realtor push you around.

well. I have a lot of deal in New Providence, Berkely Height, Westfield,
Millburn/Short Hills, and Warren. All above towns are Chinese buyers prefer
areas. For other towns far away from my home, I do limited service and
split higher amount of rebate from my commission with the buyers.

areas more close to NYC, for instance, livingston, Scotch plain, Wayne. Is
that true that those places that I just mentioned are more easier to get
