You either go to the best conference in football or go to a future
conference with some very good academia schools. And we chose to be on the
hip of tx conference.

rm. SEC would further strengthen the hold on the no.1 conf status.
probably OU stayed because it's much easier to go to BCS as no worse than
a no. 2 in big 12 than fight thru SEC though :p

non-conference opponents.
That would have driven tx to big10+2 for sure.
