You either go to the best conference in football or go to a future
conference with some very good academia schools. And we chose to be on the

SEC B1G are safe as future power-16s;
Big12 is on paper safer than ACC due to geography and bowl ties with SEC;
PAC is safe as PAC12, or maybe PAC14 with BYU and whatever; but hard to see
how PAC16 looks like; No PAC16, no super 4 Conference;
The easier way out, without diluting the top tier conferences, is for UT OK
to join PAC12, the rest digest by SEC and ACC hence the end of Big12; if it

pac10. Big12 is going downward really fast. Think about big10 this year, OSU
/Iowa/Wisconsin were in top 10, MU/MSU/PSU/NW were in top 26. Is big10
really that good or the reputation?

school size, political power, football and academics. unfortunately, there
is no such school in big12.
I really like the pac16 idea. OU will be in a similar situation to right now
, no power in the conference control but anybody has to respect its football
. And no single school will control the conference.

But if we join pac16 together, tx will have less impact than they do now.
BTW, OU was not in the same conference as ut for 100 years and we had been
doing pretty good. ut is actally the school who really benefitted by joining
the big12. |

wants to have 2 bids if they have USC, OU and Texas. Then Big10 would also
want 2 bids. We'd still be playing for the at-large bid.
