Starwood hotels have 7 categories and the points needed for each tier is:
1 3,000
2 4,000
3 7,000
4 10,000
5 12,000-16,000
6 20,000-25,000
7 30,000-35,000
So at best you will get 32,000 points equivalently. But you lose the
flexibility of spending the points at lower tier hotels. Plus it's often not
quite worth it to stay at cat 5 hotels.
Conclusion: probably not worth signing up unless you have a solid plan of

from now. They also agree to run in parallel for the near future. So I don't
see that as a reason to make SPG card unfavorable ...

发帖数: 2075 | 5 ihg收购了kimpton，到现在两个也是积分不能互相订的。
不过sign up bonus确实差了好多，至少现在比hyatt差了。对于我这种对高端酒店没什
么需求的，还不如marriott和ihg的开卡bonus了。
