sound critial to China.
That being said, I think most American have a view of China which is more
than 20 years old, with a little mix of recent development. One of my former
team worker is visiting China next week, and I think he belongs to that
group. Hopefully the trip will fast forward his impression to the modern
China :-)
BTW, I think NPR did a decent job reporting China, compared to other western
media...

There are people who have misconception about China because they are fooled
by their education system or the media.
There are people like you said, refuse to believe whatever good about China
is true.
I agree with you that we have very little chance to education the latter
kind.
