expect that people are going to not be replacing them with each new release
especially if there are no new killer features on them. I personally try to
keep phones for 3 to 5 years depending on how rough I have been on them and
their ability to maintain a bloody charge since replacing the batteries has
become almost impossible and I just don't see the case where I will ever be
willing to part with $1000 for a bloody personal tracking device pretending
to be a phone. |

They have pioneered small advancements in user friendliness but that is
about it.
They have always believed that their user friendliness would command a
massive premium.
For the tech business that is fatal. If you have something better yours gets
to sell. Otherwise you cannot command a premium.
Apple almost went bankrupt once before and it will head that way again.
