Americans in 15 states issue White House petitions asking permission to
secede
1663 If at first you don’t succeed, just secede!
More than 8,000 Louisiana residents have signed an online petition to the
Obama administration to allow the state of Louisana to, “withdraw
peacefully from the United States of America and create its own new
government.”
The petition, posted to the online White House petitions page, cites the
Declaration of Independence stating that it is the right of the people to
form a new government when the current one is not respecting the, “consent
of the governed.”
Michael E from Slidell, LA created the petition on Nov. 7, the day after
President Barack Obama was re-elected to office. Now, just four days later,
he has 3,029 signatures of support from fellow Louisianans and other
supporters from surrounding states.
Residents of Texas joined suit on Friday and created their own petition
which currently has more than 5,000 signatures.
“The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal
government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending,” the
petition reads. “Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget
and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for
Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens
’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance
with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no
longer being reflected by the federal government.”
Since then 13 other states, including New York, Kentucky, Colorado and New
Jersey, have also filed similar petitions.
While these petitions serve more to make a point than to present a serious
proposition, they are a physical symbol of the deep resentment for the
direction in which the United States is moving under the Obama
administration.

“Most of us support our nation [...] and under no circumstance wish to
split from the U.S. nor see another civil war.” This may not in fact be
true anymore. I would suggest that more people than ever before have become
aware of the true nature of the enemy they face. The enemy that runs the
television shows, newspapers, movies, corporations, banks, and presidents.
The enemy that has no allegiance to your nation, but only to the “chosen
people.”

Louisiana’s argument makes much more sense then ” We’re all in this
together” I mean, it was Bill Clinton and his affordable housing act that
started this. And then there was the democrat congress labeling certain
banks “to big to fail” and also democrats starting Social security without
thinking ahead about the repercussions. Either way the countries is split,
we have Liberals who think government can fix every thing, and we have
conservatives who “cling to their guns bibles and religion” and want small
government free-market capitalism, and Lyberty. I think it would be a wise
idea to let the liberals have their big government without us. If the want
to drag the country down, lets not go with them.

They are fools because they are exercising their rights as free people? I
see nothing in this or related articles about color, or ethnic background,
or mention of violence or civil disruption. With all due respect Bishop,
there is a separation still of church and state, for now anyway. You are
entitled to preach at the pulpit, but your political assumptions, given the
states involved, are not spot on, to say the least. Remember, what England
would not allow peacefully, our forefathers fought and won. I would hope,
the very parents you speak of, would be very proud of their children
standing up for their beliefs and using the founding documents to do it. My
question is this though, why would you think people are doomed to hell, and
what rock do you live under that you think America is peaceful? We, and
everything about our cultures and policies is in turmoil. The solution to
that is what needs prayer. You wishing people to hell is the antithesis of
what I was raised to believe about preachers. If you are an example, truly,

The GOP is acting like a bunch of spoiled children. They didn’t get their
way, they lost the election, and now they want to take all of their marbles
and go home.
Of course, there is a fine line between fiery rhetoric and sedition when you
have political pundits, bloggers, and elected officials suggesting people
engage in a revolution against the federal government or secede from the
Union.
Bottom line — people who promote secession are not interested in rational,
cogent analyses of the logistical and economic implications of becoming an
independent government. We are dealing with self-absorbed, chest-thumping,
verbally-flatulent politicians, pundits, and bloggers who are chumming the
waters, seeking their moment in the spotlight by spewing a barrage of
hyperbolic nonsense.

This isn’t about the election. This is about our country’s freedoms. This
administration thinks it is above the law. It is not holding itself
accountable to the people at all. It does what it wants by cheating, lying,
stealing and covering up the truth. If this administration was in the best
interest of this country’s future, then I assure you this would not be what
people would want. HALF of this country are more concerned about this
administration taking liberties with our Constitutional freedoms. There are
things happening right now that will encroach about every American’s rights
. Just wait. You will see that the Federal government will start forcing
itself more and more upon the people. Watch for the new chip that Obamacare
will require for you to get your benefits. It’s already being made, and
everyone will have to have it. They have no right to force us to do anything
like that. That is going against our civil liberties. They STILL have not
answered for their traitorous acts in Benhazi. All of the primary people
that would go before the Foreign Affairs Committee about that next week are
resigning; Clinton & Patraeus (the CIA director) being 2 of the most
significant. Don’t you think it’s rather coincidence that they both will
not be going before the committee and that Patraeus resigned a week before
he was scheduled to go before the committee? There are many more things that
have happened, but one of the biggest is that the FEDERAL TSA has ordered
450 MILLION rounds of hollow rounds which are meant to only KILL. Now why
would they do that? Those are NOT rounds used for training. They are only
used to kill people. This is NOT the military. THIS IS Dept of Homeland
Security. So what are they needing enough ammunition to kill a majority of
this country? Ask yourself seriously about this and get your head out of the
sand. Here is a link that is food for thought.

No LabMan that’s not it.
The vast majority reasonable hard working people in Red States are simply
tired of supporting a government that no longer cares about them or their
values but instead makes their life harder by taking from them to support a
myriad of our enemies from other countries, Illegal immigrants, free loaders
etc… who want nothing more then to take what is ours.
We are trying to do this calmly & peacefully in a civilized manner even
though politicians from both sides of the isle have more or less given up on
working for their fellow citizens & instead work for other countries,
special intrust groups & companies.
However if something doesn’t change or our demands are not met then I fear
for the future of us all you included because we will not give up & our
cause has far more supporters then most believe including a vast majority
willing to fight, kill & die for their beliefs.

I am not a David Duke KKK, and I am sure you can tell by my name I am JEWISH.
I want to follow what a former Democratic President said John F. Kennedy.
“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your
country”
What your President Obama wants is the opposite, his motto is “Ask what the
country can do for you, not what you can do for your country.” That is
what you and all of the idiots that voted for the present day Democrats are
getting.
All your vote has done is created more layoffs, a society that will transfer
redistribute wealth from the workers to the non workers. This philosophy
which has been proven historically time and time again does not empower the
people it enables them and only empowers the minority in Washington DC, such
as Obama and the present day Democrats.
So wake up AMERICAN. This is why many states are now going to suceed from
the union.
If you check your history the Democratic Party was and now still is the
slave owners of the past. The Republican GOP has always been for civil
rights and during the civil war broke the back of the Democratic Party slave
owners. The Democrats have changed their racist policies to now
entitlements and created for both whites, blacks etc to be slaves and serfs
to the state, but I gather that is okay with you. You are the real KKK.

I’ve never seen adults act so childish than in a political arena. Why don’
t these citizens grow a spine and stop whining about these (mostly)
nonexistent problems? It always strikes me as amusing on some level that the
people that claim to know the most on a subject are usually the ones that
know the least. We have these people exclaiming the economy is terrible and
other open-ended but apparently empty phrases. What, exactly, are they doing
to fix it? Here lies an issue of sincerity. You want to fix it? So you sign
or create a petition to form some isolated government? How does that fix
the problem? And first of all, before you can begin to answer that question,
you’ll have to flesh out a more meaningful problem statement than “the
economy is terrible.”
Back to an issue of sincerity: people that follow this nonsense claim there
are certain things wrong with the federal government and they are causing
all these problems, etc. If that is your claim and your position, then grow
a spine and do something positive to change it! You want to fix the economy?
Are you an economist? Have you devoted more than 1000 hours of study to
economics? Or does the extent of your economic theoretical understanding
span only what you read from republican blogs and what dribbles out of
Limbaugh or Hannity’s mouth? You probably couldn’t mentally tough out the
rigorous math courses that would be required for understanding economics —
not because you are incapable but because you lack the discipline necessary
to get through harder courses. Yet you can solve the great economical
problems that top leaders face in this country? And you want to pretend you
are sincere about your stance on where this country is headed while you idly
sit by and pass around a useless petition as your solution?
Or perhaps you want to change the way law is handled and tackle things like
tort reform or maybe public health policy focusing on how to improve the
eating habits of americans and seek ways of lowering cost in spending on
health care? Perhaps you have visions of handling defense so you should seek
to join the US Military and work your way up the chain of command until you
are a high ranking officer that can influence policy at a meaningful level.
The point is this: if you are sincere about effecting change at some level
in the federal government, then take meaningful action. If it is economics
that you want to learn more about and become an expert in, then seek
educating yourself on economics, take the steps necessary to become an
economist. Otherwise, shut up. Because there isn’t anything meaningful or
enlightening that will come out of your mouth originating from such an
uneducated, narrow view point. And if that is something you don’t want to
read, too bad. That’s how it works in this world.
The problem with this country isn’t so much the federal government, than
like people above who shuffle around making loud noise and coming up with
ridiculous solutions such as this petition. You want to ameliorate this
country in some way? Do it at a local level: what are you doing that is
positive in your community? Have you even bothered or do you really care?
Again, we are back at sincerity. How sincere are you really? Generally,
awesome things come from hard work but if you aren’t willing to put the
hard work in to effect some kind of desirable change, then you shouldn’t be
surprised at mediocre results.

These “petitions” are being slapped up on the White House website by a
group called stormfront.org. They had a grand old time last night starting
“petitions” from several states and then signing them all. Anyone can put
up a petition on the White House site and anyone can sign any petition. Once
a petition has 150 signatures, it becomes open on the White House website.
If and when the petition has 25,000 signatures, they are put in line for
response from the White House. These are NOT legitimate petitions for
secession.

Texas have a balanced budget? Ha! The criminals we have in charge here spend
and spend, and dump the deficit over to next years budget, saying you’ll
pay something later doesn’t make it paid.

Typical conservative attitude, they’d rather tear the country to bits than
deal with the fact that they’re not getting their way.
I say let ‘em go…Given that we provide a way for citizens of these states
that possess the common sense to know better a means to get the ‘ell out of
the way before the vocal minority leads their state down the road to ruin.

You all are idiots…remember what happened last time states tried to secede
from the union? Did not go too well AND they lost! History has a strange
habit of repeating itself. Wow…where do I get a petition that you need to
have a certain IQ to exercise your first amendment rights?

Please do your homework and find out what the president has truly been up to
the past four years before you jump to the conclusion that it is because of
race. The fact that you jump right to that says so much about your beliefs
…..sounds like you’re racist. I am a proud member of the Army and fight
for the freedom of ALL Americans, regardless of color. It’s sad that the
only people who are mentioning color are the ones making this about race.
Race has nothing to do with it for the majority of Americans….out is about
what’s right and what’s wrong. How can the “African” Americans be so
proud to have fight for the that they enjoy now but back a man that is
taking them all away??? Again…..please do your homework and see what’s
truly going on before you make accusations that this is about race.

Oklahoma is now on the list as well. Oklahoma had every single county as the
republican candidate winning the presidential election in 2008 and 2012.
Please help Oklahoma to withdraw as well. http://wh.gov/9dH0

Will Obama use NDAA To Arrest State Representatives and State Militias that
support Secession?
Could Obama use NDAA To Arrest Secessionists on the Premise members are
Militants and Belligerents that pose a threat to National Security?
Recently the Obama administration stated to Federal Judge Katherine Forest
that under (NDAA) The National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 the
President had authorization to lock up belligerents indefinitely. That they
(were justified) to lock belligerents up indefinitely—because cases
involving belligerents directly-aligned with militants against the good of
America—warrants such punishment.) Pres. Obama could use NDAA provisions to
order U.S. Military Forces to round up without evidence, millions of
Americans including Secessionists and Militias by alleging they are
belligerents or a threat to National Security. Many observers believe Obama
intends to extend NDAA to imprison U.S. Citizens in Indefinite Detention not
involved with or associated with enemy forces.
Hitler included similar provisions in his fascist (Discriminatory Decrees
signed February 28, 1933). Almost immediately after the German Parliament
passed Hitler’s laws, the Reich Government ordered the arrest of German
Citizens and confiscated their guns without probable cause or evidence;
delegated powers to German Police and other authorities to arrest anyone
Nazi authorities claimed attempted or incited public unrest: arrested among
others were outspoken Germans, writers, journalists, peaceful protestors and
artists. After World War II the East German Secret Police (Stasi) used the
threat of Indefinite Detention to forcibly recruit thousands of informants.
The U.S. 2012 NDAA legislation Obama signed 12-31-11 is similar to Hitler’s
1933 fascist laws the SS and Gestapo used to target persons in Germany for
arrest, imprisonment and execution without probable cause; and confiscate
millions of dollars of property. Hitler used his laws to suspend Parliament
and the Supreme Court insuring his laws could not be rescinded.
During the Obama Administration’s recent request for a (stay) to stop U.S.
District Judge Katherine Forrest blocking enforcement of vague NDAA
provisions, the Obama Administration—never clarified what constitutes a (
belligerent); or militant; or what belligerent activities (directly aligned
with a militant) to order a belligerent’s arrest or indefinite detention;
or what is against the good of America. Under vague provisions of NDAA, the
President could accuse anyone of being (directly aligned with militants by
way of any political or other association; activity, statement, writing or
communication with an individual or group government deemed (militant) to
arrest and indefinitely detain Americans. Writers, journalists, Americans
that disagree with or question U.S. Government or its allies—may under NDAA
be subject to arrest and indefinite detention.
NDAA 2012, like Hitler’s 1933 Discriminatory Decrees enforces censorship;
refers to the Patriot Act e.g. warrant-less searches of private property and
forfeiture of property from persons not charged with crime. Provisions in
NDAA 2012 keep the door open for corrupt U.S. police; government agents and
provocateurs which there are many, to falsify reports and statements to
target any American, group or organization for arrest, indefinite detention,
complete disappearance; civil asset forfeiture of their property.
You may have noted NDAA referred to the USA Patriot Act. The Patriot Act
lends itself to Government / police corruption; the Federal Government may
use secret witnesses and informants to cause arrests and civil asset
forfeiture of Americans’ property. Witness(s) and informants may be paid up
to 50% of assets forfeited. Federal Government under 18USC may use a mere
preponderance of civil evidence, little more than hearsay to Civilly Forfeit
Private Property. Under the Patriot Act innocent property owners may be
barred by government knowing the evidence federal government uses to forfeit
their property.
Sections of NDAA 2012 are so broad, it appears U.S. Government or the
President could (retroactively) deem an American’s past 1st Amendment
activities prior to passage of 2012 NDAA—supported hostilities, terrorism
or (Belligerents) to order the arrest and Indefinite Detention of any U.S.
Citizen, writer, group or organization.
Under NDAA 2012 it should be expected that indefinitely detained U.S.
Citizens not involved in terrorism or hostile activities, not given Miranda
Warnings when interrogated, not allowed legal counsel or habeas corpus may
be prosecuted for non-terrorist (ordinary crimes) because of their (alleged
admissions) while held in Indefinite Detention.
