The rules appeared on Prof. Kubiak website for about 2 years in the
campus of ucsd, he has never awared about that???
Technically speaking, he was under control the lab rules. If he
unaware, who made that rules and post the rules on his website as
those 1, 2, 3, 4?
If so, what I am believing that it is time to turn in this case to
third part for investigation to figure out who did that and whether
Mr. Kubiak was access his webpage in the pass two years. If evidence
shows that he really did not access the website and approval this
rules to be post for two years on the public school website, there may
be related a criminal issue because every one should have a question
at this point who did that? If he cannot provide any evidence to show
that he never know about the rules and had that post on website for
almost 2 years, or if investigation result shows that he WAS access
the website during the two years, there definitely should not only an
honest issue but also a serious racial discrimination. Then, how he
can still stand on the front of student as an professor?

1) Who want to find out who is the Chinaman Kubiak referring to? Is it
Roger Tsien, the Nobel Laureat in the same department? 2)Who set up
those rules? 3) Who put the website up? How likely is it that Kubiak
is not aware of the existence of the page after it’s there for more
than 2 years? (According to info found web archive service)
If people are concerned about it, please make friend with “UCSD
Labrule” on facebook, this is a page designed to bring people together
to stop racial slurs.

This professor is definitely a racist. He not only said “the

The original website said “don’t believe ANYTHING the chinaman says”,
but in this letter it is changed to “don’t believe EVERYTHING chinaman
says”.
Is this a “careless” mistake? Can we trust ANYTHING/EVERYTHING the
editor says here?

I assume most of the posts I just read are by people who are joking or
trying to provoke further action by some (amazingly) broken English.
The way they form their sentences is so stereotypical, it has to be
racist jokers who wrote most of them. As an Alumnus, I must say I am
appalled at either the new English standards or the pure racism of
those mocking other ethnicities’ verbal habits.
Now, I ask you, being Scottish from Scotland as I am, should I be bent
out of shape when a Communications professor refers to me as a
Scotsman? If he said “trust nothing the Scotsman says” would that make
him a racist worthy of firing? Maybe. I am just saying….

1. Due to historical reasons, scotsman is not a derogatory word, but
C- and N- words are.

the professor didn’t show us any strong reasons that he should stay in
UC system any longer, except wasting precious money from tax payers.
First, he should not be a racist against particular people with
different backgrounds, this time it is Chinese, next time it could be
sex orientation groups; and next time …
Second, he doesn’t behave like a man — you did it, you take the
responsibility — what we see now is cowardice only! We didn’t see a
respectful professor to show students courage — the courage to correct
and improve yourself –, but only deny.
It is our tax payers’ privilleges and responsibility to ask UC to stop
this ‘man’ from misguiding students and tarning the reputation of UC.
