L****n 发帖数: 12932 | 4 this reflects the trend of whole healthcare - a more socialized healthcare
system. ie physicians are more and more considered a part of the team,
versus before, physicians were the "Captain" while everybody else work under
them.
NB was right (where the hell is she now?) on that physicians are
increasingly coerced into the big health system. why is this happening? how
it will affect our practice? what the future will likely hold? I would love
to hear some thoughts. |
A*******s 发帖数: 9638 | 5 I am not worried about that.
My clinic is merging into a big health care system. I voted against that
move but some physicians love the money so let it be. I believe a health care
facility has no way to afford physician's salary in a long run. When they
start to lose money, they will let us go.
When I was a resident a decade ago, I witnessed the pulmonologists got fired
by the hospital since the hospital could not pay them the salary. I never
imagined these days we have to be purchased by the hospital. Capitalism has
its own self-regulated mechinism. So hakuna matata.
