这个黑人病人今年在社区钓鱼比赛获得冠军，得到650元奖金，用这个奖金他买了多张
礼物卡，送给他的医生护士和前台工作人员，我诊所的前台和护士也每人一张，皆大欢

birth of my daughter:) three years ago! I am still so grateful to her for
her passionate care. |

当然感恩的表达如果中国化了，一切就变得庸俗了。

insurance policy. Do you mean $30 is too much to express my gratitude or too
Chinese style? You were happy to get $5 gift card. Will you feel guilty if
you get $30? You make me confused. Now as a patient, I will accept your
suggestion that only give $5 to the doctor. As a doctor-to-be, I will
consider how much I shall accept from my patients in the future. |

an American way.
What I meant for Chinese 红包 is a different story. The patient there was
treated differently if no 红包 prior to surgery.
