发帖数: 184 | 1 今天和Attending吃了dim sum，随便聊了一些内容，贴在这里，希望对大家有帮助
1. 10% drop rate after intern year in internal medicine. 20% in surgery
.
2. Be nice to everyone. One resident yelled at a nurse who turned out to
be the program director’s wife but having a different last name.
3. Don’t date nurse. Words spread fast in nurses, no matter bad or good
words.
4. Have your own business card. Give it to as many people as possible to
build your network.
5. Call every of your patients in clinic to tell them lab results.
Secretary usually messes that up and patient likes to hear from their
doctors.
6. On the floor, stop by and say hello to patients. Patients stay in
hospital for 12 hours and they see residents for about 45 min a day. They
like to see you more!
7. Remember every detail on Pocket Medicine and it will make an intern
exceptional! Treat that like FA in USMLE.
8. Being a chief resident is good for academic track. Show some
administrative skills if you are interested. Faculty wants to see future
chiefs as residents who coordinate people and make things happen. Trying to
arrange basketball game or Dim Sum is a good start.

dim sum that much~~
Agree w 1st tip. Do see an AMG surgery resident switch to Path, and she is
always too cool to talk with...
Little scared by tip 7, which indicates a lot more to learn after step exmas

我不明白为什么楼主才毕业2年就有了MS的学位。是本硕连读吗？所以算是MD+MS?

发帖数: 3319 | 10 国内有的学校本硕连读的，本科和硕士学位同一天发，两个学位证上面写的也是同一天
，就是拿到硕士那天，所以毕业年限赚到了。

你的推测很有道理。其实本硕连读不算赚，而是读了本科再考个硕士的人亏了年限。
