发帖数: 68 | 1 I'm planning to apply for some advanced specialty that requires preliminary
IM, as well as category IM. But I'm worried that if I check both preliminary
and category IM in the applications, the PD will know that I'm applying for
other specialty as well, and disregard my application. What's the best
strategy? Anybody has any experience or suggestion?

发帖数: 467 | 3 Never check prel and categorical programs if you want to apply advanced
programs like neuro. If you want to apply categorical int med, that is fine.
Just check categorical int med. You could not forward 2 PSs for the same
program. It is a dealbreaker. | s**********1

If I want to apply for Dermatology, but I want to use IM as back-up, what's
the best strategy? You know Dermatology require preliminary IM. Should I
apply to Dermatology and category IM, and forget about preliminary IM? Or
should I apply to Dermatology, preliminary IM in the same place, but apply
to category IM in a different place?
