I have one question:
if I need H1B visa, when I should take Step 3?
or in other words:
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to process H1B visa?
I understand the earlier the better, however the reality is that I am afraid
that I could not take it any time sooner than May. If the program accepts
me, could the timing work out for residency in August?

发帖数: 108 | 2 May is definitely too late. Usually you need to have the step 3 score before
match day or before prematch. You need to talk to your program.
H1B is usually very slow. For me it took 2 months. But premium processing
takes only 15 days or less.

the prevailing wage request has to be submitted to federal level instead of
state as before. |

programs requires you to get the result in the mid of April. Check the

If the program agrees to process H1B for us (taking care of the paper work
and the application fee), could we request premium process and pay for the
additional fee that required by the premium process?
I will definitely check with the program and just hope to understand the
possibilities better in advance.

I heard that even the H1B premium process can take up to 4 months depending
on the materials that the gov asks for reviewing...
Just wonder whether there is anyone who had good luck with the premium
process within 1 month or 2?
