didn't get residence match for two years, he knew it's not easy doing
fellowship without residence training and also knew the first year is the
worst, so he was working so hard on everyday, but after six month he still
didn't have any confident for work, he think can't catch up work everyday,
he was really upset now, because he was 40ys already, since be a USA DR.

I am intereted "fellowship without residence".Did your husband do his
residence in China or other countries?

US system, it will be very hard to get used to fellowship in such a short
period, because fellow training is higher level and attendings rely a lot on
them to run the team.
your husband will have hard time to be licesnsd even after this fellow
training, because he has to be internal medicine board certified first then
eligible for specialty board.
best option for him is, to use his current training as a hands-on experienc | s*********g

n Texas there are a "wired" research institutions were willing to take some
fellows without residency training in US, if you have a very strong research
background. He told me he met one guy from there during conference, and tha
t guy have ten publications in one year. The institution was trying to recru
it him as a faculty there at that time. They can see patients there and had

发帖数: 55 | 8 thank you very much the advise! he already talked the fellowship PD to
change to residence, the PD just wants to him try harder and study more, he
wants him stay there because one of the fellow got cancer and other one is
just give birth in May. my husband has to get the PD's permit first then try
to find residence program. he doesn't know how to convince PD.

发帖数: 19 | 9 you still need finish your residency training even you are done with your
fellowship. in the past it is easier that you can practise as a specialist
right after fellow training without a residency training, but nowadays, it
is almost impossible.
