I'm holding EAD, what shoud I choose for the Expected Visa (the visa you
expect to be holding when you are in a program):
I'm not sure whether I should choose EAD. Will it make the program assume
that they need to support that for me?
Waiting for you guys who are holding EAD or whoever knows it to answer. I do
need to get everything done and start the application now.

while others do not know. But the thing is that you do not have choice. You
can not say you have GC, which may cause you more trouble. So, I guess you

the GC, but programs do not or do know it, as bluejaysfan. However, it does
not matter they know it or not, they are in business. They just want to
follow the policies determined and prefer to be very clear. If you are EAD,
better to fill in EAD, while some pgm specifically talked about their
criteria of EAD. So for EAD holder, it is better to look at the criteria of
the pgm you are applying for. any confusing or vague,

发帖数: 1334 | 6 Based on some IMGs' experiences, EAD holders have a better chance for match
than those require J1/H1B visa. Many programs dealt with IMGs before know
EAD. Some programs may not know it and you can give an explanation. The
renewal of EAD is done by the holder, not by a program so programs shouldn't
worry.
Unless you'll get a green card soon fill in the "expected visa" as "EAD".
Some programs that required GC/US Citizenship may not accept EAD.

Yes, just 尽人事，听天命. Actually I checked every program carefully in the
specialty I want to apply. Almost no one talk about EAD. It's hard to call
all of them. I will throw more dollars in to get more chance and maybe call
some programs which got some FMG before. That's very limited number. |
